In the near future, a number of empty lands that spread in the capital city will be transformed into a park. It is intended to meet the additional target of green open space (RTH) which in accordance with the Bylaw about the detailed spatial plan (RDTR).

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat explains the empty lands will be transformed into park and green belt, especially for children-friendly park (RPTRA).

" Principally, we will transform empty lands into a park and a green belt ," stressed Djarot, City Hall, Thursday (7/9).

He continued the other empty lands around the dam are also planned to be transformed. One of them is around Ria Rio Dam, East Jakarta, which having a width of 18 hectares. "To realize it, I'm going to coordinate again with Jakarta Water Management and Park, as well as Cemetery Departments," he expressed,

Besides that, Djarot also plans to build another park on the empty lands under railroad and flyover.

"By the way, I already have the permission from the ministry," he disclosed.
